EICTs and advanced services

Applied Technology and Knowledge serve as a tool or lever to promote the digital transformation of organisations, and the Sector is not removed from this Re-evolution “from a Product Industry to an Industry of Services with Product”. At the Sectorial Table we will get to know the experiences of enterprises in the ICTA sector on their Digital Transformation, assessing the opportunities and benefits that these challenges generate. The cases presented, and the debate about them, will make it possible to reflect on experiences and their replicability, encouraging inter-company alliances to accelerate the penetration of industrial SMEs into the new digital economy and disruptive thinking in the way of creating and offering services for a more digitalised industry.   Welcome and Presentation of Work table (Tomás Iriondo) - GAIA-Cluster ICTA:   New services based on data analytics for the personalisation of Offer/Product. (Lorenzo Díaz de Apodaca) – AIRSTUDIO   New services based on data analytics for commercial activity (Juan José Colás) - LANTEK SHEET METAL SOLUTIONS   Automation of processes based on IoT and new technical assistance services (Erik Rodriguez) – DEUSTO SISTEMAS   New services based on virtual reality and augmented reality for connected and intelligent product (Unai Extremo) - VIRTUALWARE GROUP   Reflections on how to tackle the challenges of Digital Transformation by incorporating Applied Technology and Knowledge (Tomás Iriondo) - GAIA-Cluster ICTA:

Food

The food sector cannot be distanced from the opportunities and changes which 4.0 technologies are able to provide organisations. However, improved knowledge of the challenges and problematics of the sector is called for to know where and what technologies to apply in each case. It is also necessary to bear in mind the complexity of the food value chain which includes the primary sector, the transforming industry, distribution, logistics and HoReCa, among others. The possibilities are infinite but it is important to focus on understanding the problematics, being aware of the point at which each organisation is situated, knowing what you want and can do and having a clear reference of what can be achieved by using 4.0 technologies. This is what we have been doing in the Cluster over the last few months, focusing on the productive processes of Food Industries, as a first step, and seeking above all the efficiency of these processes. We will hear the results of this work as well as the sectorial diagnosis undertaken by AZTI, the perspective of a model organisation in the application of innovation as a lever to competitiveness at the hands of Angulas Aguinaga and of the importance of the measurement and exploitation of information to improve the quality of raw materials and processes at the hands of Biolan.

  • Welcome and Presentation of the Panel. (Jon Ander Egaña) - Food Cluster of Basque Country
  • Sectoral Diagnosis. (Jaime Zufia) – AZTI
  • Innovation as a lever of competitiveness. (Javier Apalategi) – ANGULAS AGUINAGA
  • Measurement and exploitation of information to improve the quality of raw materials and processes. (Asier Albizu) – BIOLAN

Cybersecurity

The aim of the classroom is to show why and how to implement Industrial Cyber-security measures that help reduce the risks of these incidents that might affect all or part of the companies’ work. The development, deployment and integration of new technologies and platforms to improve the processes necessarily requires steps to guarantee aspects such as availability, integrity and confidentiality. It will start by highlighting differences with Cyber-security approaches in Information Technologies and then describe the main types of equipment, communications and industrial systems. This will help to understand the set of vulnerabilities, threats and attack vectors to which they are exposed and how they can be alleviated according to nature, criticality and functionality. A second part will tackle the models, steps and measures required to protect these operating environments such as defining new scenarios; running prior analysis; deployment of technical measures and solutions both in terms of infrastructure and final equipment; and organisational aspects that involve people, processes and multidisciplinary internal strategies, all in order to achieve integral protection levels that are efficient and match the organisations’ resources and business models.

Intended for: Administration staff working with information systems, networks and security; maintenance of control installations and automation; Engineering and technical offices; production managers; infrastructure management and auxiliary plant services. The contents will be both technical and conceptual and this will require basic knowledge of technologies in Operation and Information environments.
